A joint Archaeology-Geology project with Prof. Graeme Warren (UCD Archaeology) and Alice Doughty (U. Maine): Looking Up: The future of early prehistoric heritage in Europe’s mountains' was funded by IRC Coalesce 2021-2023

This work will generate new geologic constraints on the timing of final ice evacuation from the Caingorms of central Scotland in conjunction with archaeologic data about the early Holocene people’s use of high mountain landscapes.

Working with stakeholders, this work will develop recommendations for managing dynamic highland landscapes.
